Terms of use

These terms cover the website at theshish.co.uk. They are not terms of sale: nothing is bought on this site. Ordering, delivery and table bookings happen on order.theshish.co.uk under that service’s own terms, and eating in is settled at the table.

Menu prices and dishes

We keep the menu pages accurate and we update them when the kitchen changes something. Even so, a price or a dish here can be out of date: a supplier changes, a special comes off, a printed menu is revised before the website catches up. The prices given in the restaurant and in the ordering app are the ones that apply, and where they differ from this site, they win.

A dish shown in a photograph is a photograph of that dish, taken here. It is not a promise about the exact plate you will be handed.

Allergens and dietary information

This is the important one. The allergen page tells you which allergens the law requires us to be able to declare, and how our kitchen works. It is deliberately not a dish-by-dish allergen table, and nothing on this website should be relied on as one.

Everything is cooked to order in one kitchen, over one grill, with a shared fryer. If you have an allergy or an intolerance, tell us before you order — in the restaurant, or on 01403 257777 — and we will tell you what is in a dish and what we can and cannot do about it. A (V) mark on a menu page means a dish is vegetarian; it is not a statement about allergens or about cross-contact.

Opening hours and availability

Opening hours on this site are the ones we intend to keep, and they are not a guarantee. Kitchens close early, a night gets booked out, a delivery does not arrive. If you are making a journey, ring first.

Reviews quoted on this site

The customer quotes on these pages are extracts from public reviews on Google and Tripadvisor, published under the reviewer’s own display name with the date and the platform they appeared on. They are their authors’ opinions, not ours, and we have not paid for or edited any of them. Every rating we quote links to the listing it came from so you can read the rest.

Our content

The text, photographs, logo and design on this site belong to us or to the people who made them for us. You are welcome to link to any page. Please do not republish the photographs or copy the pages wholesale.

Links to other sites

We link out to our ordering service, our listings on Google, Tripadvisor, Instagram and Facebook, to the Food Standards Agency’s record of our hygiene rating, and to Horsham District Council for parking. We do not control any of those and we are not responsible for what they say or do.

Availability of the site

We try to keep the site up and correct, and we do not promise it will always be either. If something on it looks wrong, telling us on 01403 257777 is genuinely useful.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
